Yesterday, a friend chatted with me. He has a small-volume granite crushing production line. Considering the price factor, he gave up the cone crusher and chose the impact crusher. Since then, the wear parts have always been replaced frequently in production. I comforted him and compiled articles comparing cone crushers and counterattack crushers, hoping to help everyone.
The same two-stage crusher, the most obvious difference between the impact crusher and the cone crusher is the crushing principle and appearance structure. The impact crusher adopts the impact crushing principle, and the material is repeatedly impacted and crushed between the plate hammer and the impact plate. The cone crusher uses laminated crushing, and the bowl liners make a circular motion to the mantle, and squeeze the material in the middle to crush it.
In addition, there are many differences between cone crushers and impact crushers:
The applicable materials are different
Both impact crusher and cone crusher are secondary crushing equipment, but the hardness of the materials they crush is different. Generally, cone crushers mainly crush materials with higher hardness, such as granite, basalt, tuff, river pebbles, etc., while impact crushers are used to crush materials with lower hardness, such as limestone, limestone, etc. Therefore, we can understand that the impact crusher is suitable for crushing medium-hardness and lower toughness and brittle materials, while the cone crusher is suitable for crushing hard materials.
Different discharge sizes
The discharging granularity of the two crushers is different. Generally, the cone crusher has a finer output than the impact crusher. Cone crushers are often used in ore dressing, while impact crushers are used in building materials and construction projects.
Different grain types of finished materials
The impact crusher has good grain shape, less edges and corners of the finished product, and more powder. There are many needles and flakes in the finished product of cone crusher.
Different processing capacity
Compared with the impact crusher, cone crusher has the characteristics of low energy consumption, large output and stable production, so cone crusher is often used in large-scale and high-yield production line operations.
Different input costs
The price of cone crusher is more expensive than impact crusher, but its wearing parts have a longer life, avoiding the trouble of frequent replacement of parts. From a long-term perspective, cone crusher is more cost-effective than impact crusher. It can be understood as: the early purchase cost of the impact crusher is low, and the later maintenance cost is higher; the early cost of the cone crusher is high, and the later investment cost is lower.
Different pollution levels
The impact crusher has high noise pollution and dust pollution; the cone crusher has less pollution.
Impact crushers and cone crushers each have their own advantages and disadvantages. Which equipment to choose in actual production also needs to be selected according to different materials, incoming and outgoing granularities, and output. I suggest that if it is a small stone production line, use an impact crusher. If it is a large stone production line and the material is hard, it is better to choose a cone crusher. If the particle size requirements are very strict, you can add a Vertical shaft impact crusher.
